About Us
Heritage Baptist Church is an evangelical, Bible-based church composed of a group of people who are committed to following Jesus Christ. Our mission as a church is: “Developing followers of Jesus Christ who will live the Great Commission” (Matthew 28:19-20).
We are by no means a perfect church, but we are a church that is seeking to grow in Christ-like character. Our desire is to glorify God in all that we do as we worship and serve our Lord both within the context of the local church and reaching beyond to our community and our world.
Heritage Baptist Church is affiliated internationally with the North American Baptist Conference,
and closer to home with the Saskatchewan Baptist Association. To learn more about what we believe please see our statement of beliefs.
Our present church facilities are located in Yorkton, SK at 345 Darlington St. East in the North East section of the city. Yorkton is a growing city of approximately 18,000 people with a large trading area. The church moved to this site in 1989. Heritage Baptist Church was formerly known as Central Baptist Church and has deep roots in the community and in the NAB Conference. It was an older congregation that showed great foresight in a building program and now we have a very balanced congregation with a broad range of ages. In 2010 Heritage celebrated its 100th anniversary as a church.
God is doing many exciting things in and through our church family. In 2014 our church completed a building expansion of a gymnasium, new kitchen, and more classrooms. It has been exciting to see the additional opportunities for ministry that have come with this expanded space.
If you would like to know more about us we invite you to come and visit us when you are in Yorkton. Until then, thank you for stopping by our site.
